INDY BLACKMORE

Mediocre daydreams, the feeling one can only explain as a disconnect from reality...here but not completely... living in one continuous daydream.

This exhibit of work explores the mediocrity and mondaines of life by altering them to be viewed in a more vibrant light. To some, feeling like reality is one consistent daydream might sound like a fun way to go through life, however when everyday feels like your just floating thought it quickly becomes insanely overwhelming. From the moment I wake up to the point I fall asleep there is a constant internal monologue drifting my focus to where it shouldn’t be. I feel as though I’m viewing the world through a static filter with colors dull one minute and insanely beautiful the next.

Mediocre daydreams is the physical embodiment of my perceived reality, an opportunity to visually organize the chaos. From the outside, utterly overwhelming and quite frankly chaotic, but for me an organized representation of my reality.
